hot water heater replacement
Hot water filtration … What are my options??

I have a forced hot water boiler in the coil of tankless water heater. Water is heavy iron and other minerals typical. Screen on the hot side of the washer plugs CONSTANTLY. Already double cartridges internal front of the boiler cold I know I should get a water softener, but is there any other cost effective options? Is this a good screen line (next to the washing machine) or filtration system available that can adequately support 170Deg. The heat? Standard filter cartridge systems fail in hot water systems. I just want to stop do the maintenance during the week in the washer. I have almost reached the entrance to plastic, which means a replacement soleniod $ 100 when you throw it! All suggestions welcome!

The iron is dissolved in water and must be removed by oxidation. A water softener can remove small amounts of iron and regeneration will more frequent. Potassium permanganate or chlorine are used in treatment systems and are better suited to the removal of iron. Filters particles as those used to remove solids from the water but not dissolved elements. I have a pair of particulate filters to the entrance my water softener to help keep the inside clean.
